Governor offers reward for murder In Martin County

RALEIGH — Friday, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the state is offering rewards of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Tafari Neion Griffin, age 27, in Williamston.

On April 28, 2018, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Tafari Neion Griffin was shot and killed inside the residence located at 1279 Hargis Lane in Williamston, in an apparent home robbery by two unknown males. The suspects then stole Griffin’s BMW sport utility vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned a short distance from Griffin’s home.
