Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Delilah

Cute and friendly, dressed in ebony with touches of ivory shorthair fur, this medium-size girl is shy to begin with, but given a little time and gentle talk, she’ll cuddle up for some lovin’. Listed as a 2-year-old pit bull mix, Delilah appears to have, perhaps, Feist dog in her DNA. She deserves loving, attentive owner(s) who will give her exercise/play, preferably in a fenced area or on a leash, take her with them on their outings, give her obedience training and, of course, a good forever home. Colby

This handsome boy is a lover and a real talker, but once out of his cage he quiets down to enjoy attention, being petted, held, fussed over and loved. All decked out in his magnificent, jet-black American shorthair coat and huge, breathtaking golden eyes, medium-large Colby is a sight to behold. Listed as 2 years old, Colby will make a wonderful pet in a variety of good forever home settings. Once there, he will settle in and be your pet, best friend and confidant.
