From Bear Towne Market organizers

After months of preparation and work, Plymouth’s Bear Towne Market has opened. The market opened April 12, and will be open every Friday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. until Nov. 15.

Among the boosters of the Bear Towne Market is Robin Ashley, a faculty member at Pitt Community College and market manager for the Uptown Greenville Umbrella Market.

“We’re excited to see a market there,” Ashley said. “The time slot on a Friday afternoon and evening gives the market the opportunity to be a social event, not just a shopping trip. People can meet there and socialize before dinner or their evening plans.”

Among  the Bear Towne Market offerings are baked goods, fresh produce, handcrafted jewelry, artists, photography, Heavenly Portions with their free range meats and poultry, quilters, woodworkers, jams/jellies and much, much more.

A food truck will be on site, as well as entertainment.

We are always looking for quality vendors, entertainers and food vendors. Our motto is “If you bake it, make it, grow it or sew it,” we want you.

The Bear Towne Market is located at 118 Washington St., Plymouth. For more information, contact Donna Riley at 252-505-1856 or Susan Styons at 252-809-2294.

This event is weather permitting, so please, call ahead. We hope to see you there!
