“Old Timers the Musical” offers take on pains of Alzheimer’s disease

OLD TIMERS: On the stage of the Turnage Theatre this weekend, A Place in the Heart Community Theatre Company of Winterville presents “Old Timers The Musical” a poignant stage show that touches on the struggles Alzheimer’s patients face and the impact the disease has on families and loved ones. The show opened Thursday evening and will return to the Turnage stage tonight at 7 p.m. and for two performances Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Pictured, Vanessa Williams Jackson, portraying April, a housekeeper in an assisted living facility, offers comfort to Charity Small, playing Mrs. Annie, a grandmother recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
