Celebrate the fathers in your life on the waterfront this weekend! The Arts of the Pamlico presents Sundays in the Park again June 16. This weekend, the 25-piece Emerald City Big Band takes the stage under the gazebo in Festival Park in downtown Washington. Big Band and Swing music will fill the air and get your feet tapping and dancing.
The concert starts at 2 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, something cool to drink, maybe a snack or two and sit back and enjoy this free art event.
Mark your calendar for future concerts in this series including July 21 with Smokehouse, Aug. 18 with J.D. Joyner & Guitar Friends and Sept. 8 with Rural Route Romance. All concerts begin at 2 p.m.
Inclement weather will cancel the event. Watch the Arts of the Pamlico’s website and Facebook pages for weather updates. Concerts will be cancelled by 5 p.m. the day before in case of bad weather.
This free concert series is made possible with the support of sponsors Moss Landing Harbor Homes, WCTI and Beaufort County government. Donations for this event are greatly appreciated, and tips for the band are welcome!
