PATRIOTISM IN ACTION: The barbecue-plate fundraiser held last Thursday at Veterans Park in Washington was a resounding success. Held by John Moore, of Coondog’s Barbecue Sauce fame, and wife Mary Martin Moore, the sell-out fundraiser raised $3,205 for VFW Post 6088 on River Road in Washington. The money, to be used for VFW Post 6088 operations and projects, was donated to the group last Friday.
