Sheriff’s office seizes 72 grams of pot in traffic stop

On July 10, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Darius Rayvon Murray, of North Bridge Street in Washington. Murray was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Murray’s arrest stemmed from investigators receiving complaints about Murray selling drugs. Investigators conducted surveillance and initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that Murray was driving. Investigators conducted a search and found a .45 caliber Highpoint pistol, approximately 72 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and plastic bags.
Murray was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
