William McKinley “Bill” Batey, 82, of Creswell, died on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at his residence. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell, with Pastor Steven Mills officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
