Who gave who a hard time?

To the Editor:
Golly, I thought it was the Republicans who were the good guys until I read the Letter to the Editor in last weekend’s edition from Peter Farrell. Was it really the Republicans who took a false dossier financed by the Clinton campaign and the DNC and used it to persecute a sitting president for two years?
During this period, the group tried to show that the President conspired with the Russians to tamper with the 2016 election, but in a final inquiry by the House of Representatives, it was shown there was not evidence to support that accusation.
During this time, the President was also accused of being a racist, a fascist, a white supremacist and incompetent.
In this period, the President presided over a strong economic recovery, bringing the lowest unemployment ever for both the black community and the Hispanics and introducing policies to bring back manufacturers and jobs from foreign countries, something President Obama had declared unlikely, if not impossible.
The President also fought to control the borders from being overrun by individuals from countries with struggling economies. He declared that any country with open borders could not continue as a prospering country and that he supported immigration done legally.
Maybe it wasn’t really the Republicans who gave our president a hard time for over two years.
