PARENTAL SUPPORT: S.W. Snowden School, of Aurora, held its annual Title I parent meeting in conjunction with its favored Constitution Day celebration. Reading Specialist/Media Coordinator Julie Billups-Rattler served as the mistress of ceremonies for the inspirational program.  Parents, students and staff filed into the gymnasium 30 minutes early in anticipation of lively student performances and the Snowden family did not disappoint. As Frank’s Pizza was enjoyed, many utilized their wait time to view the middle school poster gallery. Principal Debra Windley opened the event by sharing the required Title I information and the good news that S.W. Snowden School is no longer a low-performing school. Grade levels followed with songs and recitations in remembrance of the country we live in and love. Cheers and applause rang aloud in both instances. The first PTO Meeting of the 2019 school year was a great success. #Snowdenstrong
