It was a special day for the students of Eastern Elementary recently, as athletes from Washington High School paid a special visit to cheer on the younger students during the school’s annual Independence Day celebration. The younger kids learned a lesson in independence as they walked to class without the parents, all while being cheered on by the high school athletes.
