Great performances were showcases all around Beaufort County on Friday night. Northside, Washington and Southside all scored at least 33 points, while the Pam Pack and Seahawks came away victorious.

The wildest game of the night came in Hertford where the Seahawks were in a barnburner. The Seahawks offense exploded for 646 yards of total offense on the night in their 58-52 win.

Kenjray Coffield rushed for 201 yards and three rushing touchdowns on the evening. Coffield also had a couple of catches for 42 yards and a defensive interception.

Jamari Nelson was the next leading rusher, picking up 195 yards on 16 carries with a couple of scores. Davion Carter also had a big night, rushing for 122 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns as well.

Quarterback Hundley Stallings completed a couple passes for 42 yards, but he also engineered his team down the field in under 42 seconds trailing by two in the fourth quarter, and scored the game-winning touchdown on a three-yard scramble to the goal line.

The Pam Pack’s defense was a tough one to crack on Friday night against North Lenoir. The formerly undefeated Hawks tried to establish the run game, but Washington’s wasn’t having it. Sophomore linebacker Shavar Clark was credited with 17 total tackles to lead the team. Walt Gerard had 12, and Hayden Anderson picked up 11.

The Pam Pack interior on the defensive line pinched the middle and completely took away any opportunities for North Lenoir. Kris Hill, Rod Moore, Sherfield Smith and TJ Williams all had a big part in the defensive disruption in the Pam Pack’s 33-6 victory.

Terry Moore had another big game running the football, rumbling for three rushing touchdowns with two in the second half. Jaden Hambric and Mykell Warren were responsible for the other two scores.

The Pam Pack will host the Ayden-Grifton Chargers on Friday night in a big 2-A Eastern Carolina Conference battle of 4-1 teams.

The Northside Panthers fell just a bit short on Friday night against Pamlico County. They have led in the fourth quarter in all three of their losses this season, but still had some offensive success.

Carter Boyd was 7-for-15 with 171 yards and three touchdowns. Boyd now has 721 passing yards for the season, and is looking to become the first quarterback in Northside High School history to throw for 1,000 yards in a season.

Tyler Turner had a catch for a 50-yard touchdown on the evening, while Tyler Modlin picked up five receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns on the night.

Zakkai Wilson and James Gorham also combined for 114 yards on the evening. The Panthers will travel to Riverside this Friday night.
