Stevenson Sand Inc. of Elizabeth City began site preparation in mid-October for the new Dollar General Store at the corner of U.S. Hwy 64 and Davenport Farm Road in Columbia. The local outlet is to be the largest floor plan the 15,472-store chain operates. Grand opening is expected in May 2020.
