Municipal voting open Tuesday

Voting in local municipal elections will take place at 10 polling places throughout Beaufort County from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Voting is open to those who live within municipal limits of local communities. No voting will take place at the Beaufort County Board of Elections on Election Day. The following locations will be open for voting:

  • Aurora — Aurora Community Building, 442 Third St., Aurora
  • Bath — Bath Ruritan Building, 504 Carteret St., Bath
  • Belhaven — John A Wilkinson Center, 144 W. Main St., Belhaven
  • Chocowinity — Chocowinity Fire Department, 512, N.C. Highway 33 East, Chocowinity
  • Pantego — Pantego Municipal Building, 142 Swamp Road, Pantego
  • Washington Ward 1 — Red Men’s Lodge, 503 E. Third St., Washington
  • Washington Ward 2 — Washington Fire Department, 410 N. Market St., Washington
  • Washington Ward 3 (P.S. Jones) — Beaufort County Boys & Girls Club, 1089 Bridge St., Washington
  • Washington Ward 4 — Bobby Andrews Recreation Center — 231 E. Seventh St., Washington.

Voters who live in municipal limits in the following precincts can vote at these locations:

  • Beaver Dam — Washington Ward 1
  • Gilead — Chocowinity
  • Old Ford — Washington Ward 3
  • Tranters Creek — Washington Ward 2
