Mrs. Leytha Brewer Mobley, age 82, a resident of West Fifth Street, Washington, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, conducted by Pastor David Thompson. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Mobley was born in Pitt County on June 17, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Linwood Elisha Brewer, Sr. and Genevieve Broadhurst Brewer. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and attended Peace Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and shopping.
Mrs. Mobley was married to William Clair “Bill” Mobley, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Evelyn B. Blizzard, of Greenville; brother, Linwood E. “Woody” Brewer, Jr., of Greenville; brother-in-law, Tommy C. Mobley, of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by her son, Steve Mobley; two brothers, Jimmie Warren Brewer, Frank Lewis Brewer (Ret. Col. USMC); and sister, Linda Vee Calvert.
The family will receive friends at other times at her home.
