The Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility will be closed for officer training Dec. 16-17.

Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Please note, the shelter is closed on the first Wednesday of each month for cleaning and maintenance.

Raymond

Already neutered and good to go to his forever home after his reduced fee is paid! This big boy wears a snow-white shorthair coat and has gorgeous blue eyes. At 4 years old, Raymond, an American pit bull terrier mix, is very sweet and friendly. He will do best with a loving, attentive and active family who will spend time with him, include him in their activities, give him plenty of regular exercise and play in a fenced area or on a leash, give him obedience training and, of course, a good forever home. For more about Raymond, ID No. 2002, see Facebook’s ENC Shelter Dog page. He’s available at the shelter.

Tinsel

Handsome, friendly and loves attention, meet Tinsel, an approximately 2-year-old, American shorthair. This large fellow is dressed for success, in his tabby-striped coat of gray, tan, black and white. A truly remarkable cat with a warm, affectionate nature, he will be a welcome addition in a variety of good and loving forever home settings. For more about Tinsel, ID No. 1984, see Facebook’s Friends of Beaufort County Shelter Cats page. Come meet him; he’s is available at the shelter.
