NEW YEAR’S BABY: Alani Elizabeth Baughman was the first baby of the New Year born at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. Baby Alani was born at 3:08 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2020, to parents Colin and Kelly Baughman and big sister Ava, weighing 6 pounds, 7 ounces and 20 inches long. Vidant Beaufort Hospital volunteers Jackie Dean and Joyce Blackmon welcomed Baby Alani with a gift basket for parents and baby to enjoy.
