Amidst the countless celebrations and revelries that marked the beginning of the new decade, one local celebration at Market Street Pub had area residents bringing in the New Year with the sounds of the Afreyed Knot Band. A local band specializing in tunes from the 70s, 80s and 90s, Afreyed Knot is made up of Pete Bright, lead guitar/vocals, Taylor Bright on bass, James Stroud on drums and vocals, Billy McRoy on guitar, Lynette Bright on keyboard and vocals and Dea Smith, back up vocals and videographer. Robert Gianferarra and Jim Hall also play with the band on occasion. Local photographer Jack Willard captured these images of the night’s festivities as the crowd counted down to midnight.
