SPECIAL VISITORS: Washington welcomed a group of special visitors to town on Wednesday, as future teachers from Xian, China, explored the town. The students attend Shaanxi Normal University and are visiting eastern North Carolina for three weeks through East Carolina University’s Office of Global Affairs and the ECU College of Education. During their time in the states, the students will learn about the American education system and be exposed to U.S. history and culture through visits to surrounding locations such as Washington. The group was slated to visit Bath later in the day.
