The left must be countered by the right

In response to column about “the secret network threatening democracy,” I see no greater threat than the one being exposed almost daily: the deep state cabal that has been and continues to delegitimize the 2016 election results.
Through the insidious undermining of our current president and his attempts at putting his policies in place, there are those whose actions have severely undermined the confidence of the American people in the inner, behind-the-scenes working of higher-ups in the state department, the FBI and the federal government. Shall I mention Comey, McCabe, Brennon, Clapper, Strzok, Page and Yates? And let’s not even get into articles of impeachment that were based on hearsay of assumptions and suppositions of individuals who simply don’t like how this president is handling some foreign policy matters. These people need to be and will be balanced by the conservative voices of this great nation.
Why shouldn’t financiers and their family members, like Coors, De Vos, Prince, Mercer and Koch strategize and support like-minded groups of individuals, just as Soros, Bloomberg, Bezos and Zuckerberg do? Both the left and right are trying to dominate the political future of this nation, so YES, the stakes are high.
Even our Founding Fathers, as they debated ideas back and forth during the construction of our great Constitution, were not in agreement about what it should say. The federalists and the anti-federalists were staunch in their beliefs for or against a strong central government, but working together, they achieved balance by debate and compromise, both missing in today’s state and national legislative actions. One side, especially the left, must have its way or there is no action at all. One only has to see North Carolina has not passed a budget because of one item demanded by Gov. Cooper — Medicaid expansion — to see that this is true.
So in the end, maybe America will find it difficult to exist as the country I once knew, a land of vast opportunity where one can grow and prosper according to his own merits, hard work and ingenuity, but rather fall into the decay of the socialistic morass of “equality” where individual success is thwarted by the incessant demands of those who have less due to their willingness and cowardice to be wards of the almighty state. But then again, maybe America will continue to be the beacon of hope and light of freedom to the world where people will continue to want to come and be welcomed to legally enter our country to become a part of our culture of freedom and liberty. For without freedom and liberty so espoused by the conservative voices of our land, which simply and often expose the tyranny of the left, our nation becomes just another cesspool of humanity found in many other places around this world.
So, yes, the left must be countered by the right to achieve the balance necessary to continue the great American experiment — One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
