Pair charged with selling drugs in Washington

On Feb. 27, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Tylajuwon Shelton, 28, and Shanita Peartree, 32, both of 99 Joy Lane in Washington.
Shelton was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sale of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver MDMA (ecstasy), maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by felon.
Peartree was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver MDMA (ecstasy), maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Their arrest stemmed from investigators making a purchase of cocaine from Shelton. During the purchase, Peartree was with Shelton. Investigators conducted surveillance and learned that Shelton and Peartree lived at 99 Joy Lane in Washington.
Investigators executed a search warrant at 99 Joy Lane in Washington. Investigators and K-9 Bodi conducted a search and found cocaine, ecstasy pills, marijuana, digital scales, plastic bags used to repackage a controlled substance, a SKS Rifle and a 38-caliber pistol.
Shelton was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. Peartree was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
