The City of Washington has increased the signal strength of the Washington Public Access Network to assist Beaufort County Schools students and staff in remote learning and remote teaching.
Anyone can access this public Wi-Fi at the Washington Waterfront between South Market and Repress streets.
Once connected to “Washington Public Access”, press “Continue to the Internet”. There is no login password.
The buildings downtown can interfere with the signal, but if parked in places between them the two streets, Wi-Fi signal is sufficient to send and receive emails, access the internet and stream videos.
