Mrs. Grace Farber Lombardi, age 87, died March 31, 2020, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Grace was born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Altoona High School in 1950 and worked with Southern Bell and AT&T, in Pennsylvania, Florida and North Carolina for 38 years. After retiring from AT&T, she moved to Washington with her daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren. Grace was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Washington. She loved her children, grandchildren and attending her Sunday School class at FUMC. She enjoyed making banana bread and chicken potpie for her family and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and NAVY football! In the Fall, she spent most Saturdays watching NAVY football.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Bowen and husband Lee, of Washington Park; her two sons, John Lombardi Jr. and his wife, Juana, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, George Lombardi and his wife, Patricia, of Front Royal, Virginia; and four grandsons, Christopher Bowen, Beau Bowen, Dylan Bowen and Eric Lombardi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lombardi, as well as her brother, Carl Farber, and sisters Mrs. Betty Stauffer, Mrs. May Bush, Ms. Ethel Hamel and Mrs. Beverley Shoemaker, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and sister Ms. Edna Barwis, of Baltimore, Maryland.
