WINE ENTHUSIAST: The Washington (noon) Rotary Club’s guest speaker this Monday was fellow club member Bob Douglas, a retired northern Californian school superintendent who designed, built and owned The Tehama Oaks Winery in Red Bluff, California. Bob and his wife, Jackie, formed a family owned corporation dedicated to producing high quality estate wines and superb varietal wines and blends from premium California vineyards. Bob and Jackie operated the winery for more than a decade. Their Tehama Oaks wines won a number of awards before Bob and Jackie decided to sell their winery and relocate to Chocowinity in 2019. Bob is a very vital and active contributor to the Washington (noon) Rotary Club. The Washington (noon) Rotary Club continues to conduct virtual “Zoom” meetings each Monday at noon during the pandemic crises. For more information about the Washington (noon) Rotary Club, contact Rotarian Ann-Marie Montague at 252-714-1904.
