Betsy Wallace Beamon, of Washington, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

A private graveside service will be held at Pamlico Memorial Gardens on Sunday, May 31, 2020, officiated by Pastor Joan Fischer. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 30, 2020, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the home of William and Cindy Cochran, 1110 Respess St., in Washington. Kyle Cochran, Jeffrey Elks, Steve Lun, Matt Lun, Ryan Lun and Trey Moore will serve as pallbearers. Hilton O’Neal and Thomas Sutton III will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Betsy was born in Beaufort County on June 28, 1963, to William Daniel “Dan” Wallace Sr. and the late Hilda Marie Mizelle Wallace. She attended Washington High School, studied Industrial Technology at East Carolina University and enjoyed a career as a dental assistant. She adored butterflies, the color purple and all kinds of music. Betsy’s greatest passion was her children and grandchildren, and she was known for loving her family and friends fiercely.

Betsy is survived by her children, Jessica Such and husband Travis, of Winterville, Seth Manning and wife Katie, of Washington, Adam Manning, of Washington, Stacy Geoffrion and husband Matthew, of Greenville, and Jeremy Eric Beamon, of Duck. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Avett Wallace Such, Bailey Elizabeth Hines and Gabriel Matthew Geoffrion; her father, “Dan” Wallace Sr., of Washington; and her sisters, Barbara Lun and husband Ron, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cindy Cochran and husband William, of Washington, and Amy Marshall and husband Justin, of Carolina Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Tyson Lawrence Such; her mother, Hilda Mizelle Wallace; her brother, William Daniel Wallace Jr.; and her nephew, Patrick Harris Cochran.
