EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST: The Washington (noon) Rotary Club welcomed Beaufort County Development Center’s Rene Wiggins as its featured speaker Monday. Wiggins, BCDC’s community employment specialist, stressed the importance of vocational rehabilitation while outlining many of the benefits local businesses receive from hiring people who are intellectually or physically challenged. Wiggins reported that BCDC has been able to help “place”  approximately 60 clients with area businesses and local institutions over the past three years.
