Tyrrell has one active COVID-19 case

In Tyrrell County 646 inhabitants have been tested for coronavirus since the outbreak last March, and 105 tested positive, the Martin-Tyrrell-Washington District Health Department reported Aug. 23.
Two deaths were reported in Tyrrell, 103 recovered, leaving one active case at this time.
In Martin County 4,009 persons were tested, 323 were positive, 281 recovered, and there have been seven deaths.
In Washington County 2,028 individuals were tested 171 were positive, 138 recovered, and there have been four deaths.
The percentage of deaths to positive cases is lower in Tyrrell than the two other counties in the MTW district. In Tyrrell 1.9% of those tested positive died; in Martin 2.2%, and in Washington 2.3%.
The death rate across North Carolina is 1.6%, in the U.S. 3.1%, and worldwide 3.4%, MTW states.
