The Beaufort County Office of Emergency Services and Beaufort County Health Department reported one new COVID-19-related death and 22 new COVID-19 cases in their daily update on Friday.

Beaufort County’s coronavirus death toll is now at 56, and its amount of active cases is currently 237. All of the active cases are self-isolating.

Friday’s report showed that seven more Beaufort County residents recovered from the virus, bringing the total amount of recoveries to 1,538.

North Carolina reported 5,303 new COVID-19 cases and 57 deaths on Friday.
