Virginia Everson Evett, 85, of Wilson passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Maplewood Cemetery. The Reverend Chris Thomas will officiate.

She was a middle school educator in the North Carolina Public School System for thirty years.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Susan E. Boswell and husband Michael of Wilson; son Samuel Richardson Evett, Jr. and wife Ginny of Cary; granddaughters Alyson Boswell, Sarah Anderson and husband Josh, Melissa Puryear and husband Cory, and Christina Durham and husband Sean; grandson, Tommy Evett; and her great-grandsons Emmett Puryear and Charlie Puryear.
