COVID-19 stats at a glance: Beaufort County records 111 new cases, 2 confirmed deaths

Beaufort County recorded 111 new cases of COVID-19, two coronavirus-related deaths and 48 recoveries Wednesday.
Wednesday’s case count was one shy of the county’s record for most cases reported on a single day.
Beaufort County has now logged 3,023 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, 67 deaths and 2,236 recoveries. County health officials know of 720 active cases among Beaufort County residents. Fifteen of those individuals are hospitalized.
North Carolina reported 6,952 cases of COVID-19 and 80 deaths Wednesday.
Eastern North Carolina counties with total confirmed cases include: Bertie, (1,283), Beaufort (3,023), Bladen (1,977), Brunswick (4,794), Carteret (2,955), Camden (327), Chowan (881), Columbus (3,895), Craven (5,533), Currituck (720), Dare (1,167), Duplin (4,419), Edgecombe (3,354), Gates (388), Greene (1,597), Halifax (3,133), Hertford (1,457), Hyde (393), Jones (436), Lenoir (3,473), Martin (1,517), New Hanover (10,205), Northampton (1,128), Onslow (9,593), Pamlico (561), Pasquotank (1,956), Pender (3,027), Perquimans (595), Pitt (12,327) Sampson (5,151), Tyrrell (185), Washington (513), Wayne (7,768) and Wilson (5,920). Mecklenburg (67,193), Wake (47,315), Guilford (26,536), Forsyth (21,913), Gaston (16,868) and Durham (15,618) counties have the most cases.
