After reporting a combined 116 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, Beaufort County logged seven more cases on Monday, bringing its total case count to 3,305.
It was also reported over the weekend that 59 more Beaufort County residents had recovered from COVID-19. Two more recoveries were reported Monday, raising the total amount of recoveries to 2,297.
County health officials know of 939 active cases of COVID-19 among Beaufort County residents. Twenty-six of those individuals are hospitalized.
North Carolina reported 8,833 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, as well as 11 COVID-19-related deaths. In North Carolina, 521,475 individuals have recovered from the virus.
Eastern North Carolina counties with total confirmed cases include: Bertie, (1,356), Beaufort (3,305), Bladen (2,158), Brunswick (5,268), Carteret (3,168), Camden (360), Chowan (962), Columbus (4,256), Craven (5,955), Currituck (827), Dare (1,332), Duplin (4,652), Edgecombe (3,566), Gates (428), Greene (1,683), Halifax (3,441), Hertford (1,556), Hyde (472), Jones (467), Lenoir (3,825), Martin (1,640), New Hanover (10,828), Northampton (1,227), Onslow (10,511), Pamlico (611), Pasquotank (2,156), Pender (3,301), Perquimans (635), Pitt (13,198) Sampson (5,400), Tyrrell (205), Washington (581), Wayne (8,098) and Wilson (6,357). Mecklenburg (72,177), Wake (51,999), Guilford (28,775), Forsyth (23,404), Gaston (18,228) and Durham (16,720) counties have the most cases.
