Gerald (Jerry) Jerome Gray died on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the age of 67. Jerry was raised In Washington by his mother, Mary Frances  (Francine) Gray and  grandparents Rosalie Lanier Gray and James Gray, who predeceased him. He initially attended Mother of Mercy School  and later, John Small School.  After training in carpentry Jerry worked as a construction contractor for nearly 40 years in New York City and in Washington, NC. He is survived by his four children Parod, Omar, and Safiya Mallory of Boston, and Jon Khareef Gray of New York; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his aunts, Lois Gray, Bernadette Gray-Little, Rosalind Gray, and Margaret Gray Bayne, Illia Daniels, Marian Hill,  two uncles, Thomas Gray, and  Mark Gray, and by numerous cousins. He will be greatly missed.

Leon Randolph Funeral Home will oversee burial arrangements.
