On February 10, 2021 a Beaufort County Grand Jury indicted Valinda Leggett, age 55 of Washington, for one open count of Murder in the July 3, 2020 shooting death of her husband, 59-year-old Gregory Leggett at their home on Mimosa Shores Road.  Valinda Leggett was served with the indictment on February 22, 2021.  Leggett’s bond was set in Superior Court at $50,000.00 secured.
