Northside advances to Eastern final

Northside defeated Pamlico County 43-32 Friday night at Bing Mitchell stadium to advance to the NCHSAA 1A Eastern final. Northside avenged a regular-season overtime loss to the Hurricanes to keep its playoff run alive.

The Panthers (7-2) will travel to face Northampton County next week with a trip to the state championship on the line.
