The shelter is open Mondays through Fridays, with the exception of the public coming into the building freely. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shelter is accepting visitors for business by appointment only. Saturdays, the shelter will be closed unless an appointment is made before 5:00 p.m. Friday. Setting an appointment allows our employees to try to answer questions on the phone and screen citizens to make sure they are not experiencing any symptoms of sickness before they come to the shelter. For the shelter specifically, people may call and schedule an appointment to view animals for adoption. These visits will be limited to two people at a time to minimize exposure.

The shelter is located at 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East in Washington. Normal hours open to the public: Mondays through Fridays, by appointment only, 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays, the shelter will be closed unless an appointment is made by 5:00 p.m. Friday. ACE

Well mannered, dog friendly, knows basic commands, house trained, and a sweet love bug, that’s Ace. Knowing life with only one eye, this big boy is listed as a 1 year old, brown/black brindle Terrier-mix. He will do best with active owners who will give him lots of exercise and love. SUZIE

This American medium hair girl wears a gorgeous coat with tan, brown and black tabby stripes. Listed as 1 year old, Suzie is incredibly sweet, friendly, and a bit shy and reserved.
