Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in connection with a recent drug bust. 

John E. Best, 44, of 121 Alderbrook Circle in Washington was arrested by investigators with the Sheriff’s Office drug unit on July 29. Best was charged with four counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park or playground, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest comes after investigators made purchases of cocaine from Best.

Best has been detained at the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $125,000 secured bond.
