Panthers open cross country season

Northside’s Keanu Dugan won the boys individual title in the Panthers season-opening cross country meet held at Northside High School. Dugan covered the 5K course in 18.23, a full minute ahead of the second-place finisher from Pamlico County. Mason Newman was the second-highest Panther finisher in seventh place.

On the girls side, Kiele Scott finished second overall, while Lauren Rouse was ninth and Anna Barrett finished 10^th.
