Northside competes in BCS Math Competition

Thirty-one Northside High School students competed in the annual BCS Math Competition, held March 25. The NHS Math 2 Team took 1st place team award. Team members are Sierra Minor, placed 2nd overall, Mariah Hux, placed 4th overall, Sierra Adams, placed 10th overall, Rhynn Alligood, Eder Alonso Hernandez, and Madison Scheffler. The NHS Math 3 Team took 2nd place team award. Team members are Tyler Moore, placed 3rd overall, Jamie Major, 5th overall, Tatum Biggs, 6th overall, Mason Newman, 9th overall, Jordan Clark, Jaden Clark, Evan Roberson, Tucker Proctor, Griffin Johnson, Liam Lincoln, Ashleigh Woodward, Kenan Woolard, Jackson Waycaster, Lauren Rouse, and Clair Alligood. The NHS Comprehensive team, who were competing in content covering all advanced math content from Math 4 through Calculus II, placed 3rd. Team members are Zander Geritz, placed 6th overall, Caden Cullipher, placed 8th overall, Carson Clinkscales, Cole Tomaini, and Eli Huynh. Five freshmen competed in the Math 1 Division: Michael Imes, Connor Bowen, Rylan Paul, Satine Dugan, and Jazmin Mendoza Sanchez.
