Vanceboro man charged with robbery, larceny

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Investigators have charged 18 yr. old Brandon Lee Miller Jr. of Vanceboro with one count each of Felony Common Law Robbery and Felony Larceny of a Firearm. On March 28 a resident of Chocowinity reported that Miller assaulted him at his home and after the assault took a shotgun belonging to the victim and fled the scene. Miller was charged after Deputies took statements from both the victim and witnesses to the crime.
Miller was arrested on March 31, 2022. He is currently being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000.00 secured bond. The stolen shotgun was recovered at the time of his arrest.
