Whitecaps end swim season with a win

Avry Midgett won three events in her age group and Aubrey Woolard took two in hers as the Washington Whitecaps ended the summer swim season with a strong showing in the Greenville Area Summer Swim League championship held recently in Tarboro.
Midgett won the 11-12 girls age group 50-yard freestyle in 28.85 seconds, the 50-yard breaststroke in 37.24 and the 100-yard individual medley in 1:19.8.
Woolard won the 13-14 girls 50-yard freestyle in 27.62, the 50-yard butterfly in 30.42 and finished second in the 100-yard individual medley in 1:10.7.
Cole Blanks won the 9-10 boys 50-yard butterfly in 41.85 seconds, was second in the 50-yard freestyle (34.13) and the 100-individual medley (1:39.0)
Eliza Lee finished third in the 9-10 girls 100-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and 50-yard breaststroke.
Brandon Ward was third in the 9-10 boys 50-yard breaststroke and fourth in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 individual medley.
Abby Lewis was fifth in the 15-18 girls 50-yard backstroke, sixth in the 50-yard freestyle and seventh in the 100-individual medley.
Hudson Capehart took fourth in the 6u boys 25-yard backstroke and sixth in the 25-yard freestyle.
Lilly Russell (7-8 girls) and Brayden Capehart (9-10 boys) also competed.
