Mr. Freeman Thompson Weiner, age 81, a resident of Hancock Lane, Pinetown, died Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his home.
Services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Weiner was born in Columbia, S.C. on August 6, 1941. He was the son of the late Jessie Weiner and Helen Catherine Thompson Weiner. Mr. Weiner served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war. He was a Power operator for Dupont in Leland, N.C. Mr. Weiner lived in Wilmington, N.C and Columbia, S.C. before moving to Pinetown in 2013. He served at Wesley United Methodist Church in Wilmington, volunteered with the Salvation Army and the Big Brother Program. In his spare time, Mr. Weiner was an avid fisherman and loyal South Carolina Gamecock fan.
Mr. Weiner was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Richbourg Weiner.
Mr. Weiner is survived by two daughters, Tammy Broome and Goldie Rabon both of Pinetown; four grandchildren, Brittany Tevepaugh (Andy) of West Columbia, S.C., Hannah Rabon of Washington, Catherine LeBlanc (Jordon) of Beaufort, S.C., Bruce Leon “Tripp” Rabon III of Pinetown; and one great grandchild, Declan James Tevepaugh.
