From Pitt County Sheriff's Office:

Pitt County, NC – At 11:12 p.m. on Sunday October 2, 2022, deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Linda Drive and Rivercreek Dr in the Rivercreek Mobile Home Park in the Pitt County portion of Washington to a report of a subject shot.

Arriving deputies discovered two brothers sufferings from gunshot wounds.

28-year-old Au’Mau’Vion Shiy’Trell Watford of Windsor was found deceased on the scene.

29-year-old Auviaughne Shakinge Watford of Williamston was transported by ambulance to ECU Health where he is being treated.  There is no update on his condition.
