Edward Jones Financial Advisor Rod Cantrell (R) addressed the Washington Noon Rotary Club this past Monday at the club’s weekly luncheon meeting at King Chicken.
Cantrell, a longtime fellow Rotarian and past club president, shared information about the state of the current economy and it impacts on financial forecasting.
Club President Dr. David Loope (L), thanked Mr. Cantrell for addressing the club on an annual basis.
In other news, the club awarded a $2,000 grant to the Washington High School JRROTC program in recognition of their volunteer service during the club’s biggest fundraising event, the 24th annual Smoke on the Water Barbecue Festival.
Noon Rotarians are also preparing to fully support the Beaufort-Hyde Partnership for Children’s annual Toys for Tots campaign which culminates December 11th at St. Peter’s Church.
In addition, the club encourages friends and family to join Noon Rotarians who’ll be bell ringing at Walmart on December 15th as part of the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign.
