The Nov. 29 meeting of the Washington Kiwanis Club was devoted to planning for the upcoming Washington Christmas parade to be held Saturday Dec 3rd rain or shine.

Bobby Roberson (L), in conjunction with Washington Police Chief Stacy Drakeford, briefed the club on what is needed to insure a well-run and safe parade.  We anticipate around 100 entries this year as the parade   continues to grow.

The Kiwanis Club of Washington meets each Tuesday for lunch at King Chicken on Carolina Avenue in Washington. The club welcomes prospective members who have an interest in service to the community.
