Thomas Joe Stroud, age 72, a resident of Williamston, NC, died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at ECU Health Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, NC.

Thomas Stroud was born June 1950. He served in the Marines and is a Vietnam Veteran. Thomas was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for superior performance of his duties along with several other medals. After being honorably discharged from the Marines he worked in the carbide manufacturing industry where Thomas and Nancy met. They were married for 41 amazing years. Thomas embraced life with curiosity, would not accept status quo always making life better with his stability, humor, compassion and love. He enjoyed music, was an audiophile and a skydiver. He will be missed terribly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by Larry Stroud (Sheila), David Stroud (Sharon) and Mary Schultz (Ron), numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Aileen Stroud.
