Mrs. Margaret Annie Lilley Manning, age 78, a resident of Clarks Neck Road, Washington, died Thursday, January 12, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2023, from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Manning was born in Beaufort County on October 27, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Henry Jinks Lilley and Annie Harris Lilley. Mrs. Manning worked in accounting at National Spinning for many years. Later, she worked at DSM in Greenville. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking.

On June 10, 1962, she married Jimmie Wayne Manning, who preceded her in death, July 10, 2021.

Mrs. Manning is survived by a son, Randy Wayne Manning and wife, Catherine of Washington; daughter, Olivia Ann Manning of Granite Falls, N.C.; five grandchildren, Will Manning, Matthew Manning, Megan Manning, Randall McAteer, Hunter McAteer; two great grandchildren, Thomas Randy Manning, Corolyn McAteer; and sister, Minnie Burford of Washington.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by four brothers, Mark, Oscar, Jatha and Robert Lilley and three sisters, Nellie Tetterton, Mary Woolard and Lena Boyd.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her son, Randy Manning, 101 Tranters Creek Drive, Washington.
