It is with profound sorrow that the Royster family announces the passing of Mrs. Josephine Holley Royster. Josephine Holley Royster, 90, of 814 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, NC transitioned on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Ridgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Washington, NC. Mrs. Royster was affectionately called “Poncho” by her family and was a faithful member of the Harvest Church in Washington, NC. She served her community with distinction for 28 years as a member of the Washington Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday March 11, 2023, at Harvest Church 2020 W. 15th Street, Washington, NC, followed by the burial at Pamlico Memorial Gardens at 161 Avon Ave, Washington, NC.

Public visitation will be held at 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, March 10, 2023, at L.R. Memorial Chapel, 208 W. MLK Jr. Washington NC. Other times the family is receiving friends at the home on starting on March 20, 2023.
