Clarks Neck Fire and Rescue Department responded to a call about a “moderate to major” fire near Flanders Filters Road in Washington at approximately 3:02 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, according to Chief Bryan Dixon.
A mobile home on Trails End North Road off of Flanders Filters Road caught fire toward the back of the home. There were no injuries, according to Dixon. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Dixon said the mobile home is likely “a total loss.” A nearby shed also caught on fire and is part of that loss.
Clarks Neck requested assistance from Washington Fire Department, Chocowinity Fire Department, Old Ford Volunteer Fire Department and Grimesland Fire Department.
