Robert “Bobby Doc” Earl Everson, age 77, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Ridgewood Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Oakdale Cemetery and will be officiated by Marty Alligood. Pallbearers include Donnie Woolard, Joel Moore, Steve Woolard, Stephen Whitley, John Goff, and Allen Mitchell.

Mr. Everson was born in Beaufort County on July 30, 1945, to the late Ottis D. Everson and Daisy Garris Everson. He worked for Tankard Distributing, Dr. Pepper and sold insurance. Mr. Everson was considered “the collard man.”

Survivors include three children, Denese E. Mitchell (Allen) of Chocowinity, Anessia E. Hammonds (Mike) of Chocowinity, Amy E. Goff (John) of Washington, two sisters, Mattie E. Pinkham of Virginia, Betty E. Price (Larry) of Williamston, sister-in-law, Dorothy W. Everson, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by three siblings, Hazel E. Garris, Hilton Everson, and Bonnie Everson.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
