Guy Harding “Lollipop” Lollis, age 79, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Saturday, May 13, 2023, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by Pastor Joe Ange and Pastor Brian Alphin. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Keith Waters, Christian Waters, Willie Toler, and members of the Chocowinity Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers include Kin Vaughn, Charles Hickman, and Ray Arnold.

Mr. Lollis was born in Beaufort County on September 23, 1943, to the late Herman Odell Lollis and Harriet Harding Lollis. On December 29, 1957, he married Judy Estell Robinson. He was a graduate of Chocowinity High School and also a graduate of NC State University. Mr. Lollis retired from Civil Service at Cherry Point. He enjoyed fishing, hanging fishing nets, cutting wood, old tractors, cars and hanging out with friends. He was a member of the Redmen Lodge and the Chocowinity Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Judy R. Lollis of the home, a daughter, Gina Lollis Patterson and husband Steve of Chocowinity, a son, Jonathan Lollis and wife Dede of Chocowinity, three grandchildren, Nathan Patterson, Kenny Patterson, and Jackson Lollis.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Louise Lollis.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.
